Portuguese is the most spoken language in the Southern Hemisphere, and the fastest growing language in the world. It is also considered the most difficult of the Latin languages”.  A Brazilian writer once poetically described it as a “última flor do Lácio, inculta e belathe last flower of Latin, wild and beautiful”.
Portuguese is also termed “the language of Camões”, after one of Portugal’s greatest literary figures, Luís Camões.
